STATEMENT OF FAITH

STATEMENT OF FAITH

What we believe about God:

We believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things
visible and invisible.

What we believe about Jesus Christ:

Christ is alive (Revelations 1v 18)
Christ is supreme (Colossians 1v 15-16)
Christ is God (John 8v 58)
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, (John 3v 16)
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one Being with the Father. (John 10v 30)
Through him all things were made. (Col 1v15-16)
For us and for our salvation (1 Corinthians 15v 5)
he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit
he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary,
and was made man. (Matthew 1 v 23)
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.(Romains 8v 34)

What we believe about The Holy Spirit:

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets. (John 15 v 26, 2 peter 1v 21)

What we believe about Salvation:

We believe that the fundamental problem of humankind is SIN. From the time of Adam’s
original sin we were all sentenced to eternal death away from God. (Romains 3v 23)
But God sent Jesus Christ, the perfect Lamb of God to die and atone for our sins with his
blood that was shed on the cross of calvary. (1 John 2v 2)
Now all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ
Jesus. God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his
blood—to be received by faith.
Salvation therefore is found in Christ alone by grace through faith. (Ephesians 2v 8-9)

What we believe about Heaven:

We believe that man was created to exist forever. Man will exist in one of two states:
Either eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through salvation found in
Jesus. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is
Heaven. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.
(Romains 6v 23, Revelations 14v 11, John 14v 3)

What we believe about the Church and the Christian life:

The local church is a local community of compassionate, separated and baptized believers
unified through faith in Jesus Christ. It is devoted to the teaching of Christ, fellowship, breaking
of bread and prayer (Acts 2v 42). Furthermore the church committed obeying all of His
commands and it seeks to bring His testimony to the world.
The Church works together in unity, compassion, service, generosity with the ultimate
purpose of glorifying Christ.
